Director of Operations Suzan El-Rayess on “Voices of Change, Voices of America” Training

Our Director of Operations, Suzan El-Rayess, was among just 20 Muslims selected from 400 applicants for a workshop focused on storytelling, leadership, and media training. Here is a reflection on her experience, in her own words:

Earlier this month, I spent a few days in New York City at the Auburn Seminary for an intensive storytelling training designed to amplify American Muslim voices in media. The “Voices of Change, Voices of America” training was incredible. Our trainers—and the visionaries behind the program, Wajahat Ali and Macky Alston—taught us the critical skills about media communications, messaging, and tools we need to craft our American Muslim narratives. The class was diverse and rich with experience, and each of the guest speakers added an invaluable perspective to our learning. I can’t say enough great things about the experience! Looking forward to sharing what I learned with the team at Jetpac and to help amplify our American Muslim voices.
