Jetpac Launches Youth Civic Education Program

We are proud to have partnered with the Islamic Center of Boston in Wayland, MA to pilot our Youth Civic Education Program, a weekend course that teach high school students about government and leadership. As part of our core mission to increase the civic education and political engagement of American Muslims, Jetpac’s Youth Civic Education Program equips teens to engage confidently in the civic process.

Last weekend, over 30 students in the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades took part in the course, taught by Jetpac Co-Founders Nadeem Mazen and Shaun Kennedy. Students were excited to learn connections between Islam and the U.S. Constitution and successes and failures of the Civil Rights Movement.
