100+ Youth From Greater Boston to Knock Out Gun Violence with Jetpac

Jetpac is excited to launch a youth-led Knockathon campaign this Ramadan 2018!  The Knockathon will take core aspects of Jetpac’s organizing philosophy to teach and train young adults aged 12-20 on the fundamental techniques of community organizing and canvassing. Join other young and engaged community members to learn important organizing tactics and to speak out about gun violence to communities in Massachusetts.

All Knockathon participants are required to attend three separate training sessions with Jetpac’s staff of professional organizers dedicated to helping minorities engage with their communities for social justice causes. You will learn how to power a campaign via social fundraising, build a script for effective, relational canvassing, and practice your advocacy skills on real people. All trainings will take place near Jetpac’s office in Cambridge, MA.

On Jetpac’s Knockathon Day of Action, June 3, 2018, you can expect to meet with local organizers and elected officials at Campaign HQ in Cambridge. We’ll head out into the many diverse neighborhoods of Cambridge for two hours of door knocking, then return to HQ for a community Iftar, prizes, and surprises.

This youth-led initiative is dependent on strong participation from your community. We’re talking about real, grassroots action. You have the chance to take part alongside 150 other young and engaged community members to learn fundamental organizing tactics, and to speak out about gun violence to communities in Massachusetts.

We can only achieve this goal with the help of your network. Please, share this page, and invite your friends, family, and neighbors.
